Teaching a mixed class of boys and girlsTeaching a mixed class of boys and girls
A) Science majors:
-Keen to learn
-Hard working
-Usually ask intelligent questions
B) Non science majors:
-Only care about good grades
-Learning is considered as a side issue
In class of Science majors; the grades roughly fitted a normal
distribution.
In class of non science majors or small classes; this was not
the case.
The experience of teaching boys and girls separatelyThe experience of teaching boys and girls separately
An amazing surprise , in favor of girls.
Why?
Teaching to girls exclusively showed another patternTeaching to girls exclusively showed another pattern
- Larger classes
- Outstanding one or two
- Average and below
- Positive attitude
A pattern similar to that encountered in mixed classes of science
majors except ….
For centuries women have been deprived of learning
science in general
But………
However, Men and women are two parts which complete each
other.
The role of women as Physicists: teachers and
researching scientists.
The advantages of a woman in the above aspects
BEAUTY IS TRUTH, TRUTH BEAUTY
Appreciating aspects of beauty in PhysicsAppreciating aspects of beauty in Physics
Why is the sky blue or why is the sunset golden red ?
Why are some sounds noisy and others are pleasant ?
Structure of molecules and crystals.
FOR LIFE IS WARMTH AND COLOUR AND LIGHT
AND ASTRIVING EVERMORE FOR THESE
The time factor in learning Physics
What can women, in particular, contribute toWhat can women, in particular, contribute to
PhysicsPhysics??
- Encouraging children to start learning
physics at a very early age.
- Encouraging more females to become
physicists.
