To Whom It May Concern:
As the Vice Principal of a large International School in Shanghai, I am always
looking for talented professionals to join our team. My school decided that we
wanted an international curriculum design, and we researched many programs
across the United States. The program we chose was The Itty-BittyBookworm
(IBBW), the brain child of Tara Broman.
We have flown Tara to Shanghai and collaborated with her many times in
person, by Skype and via email. She has helped us with the task of adapting her
literature-based curriculum for our Chinese students (ages 2-6 years old). She has
also consulted with us to develop a balanced literacy program for our school.
Her program is a well-organized and unique literacy-based curriculum. It will
help any child start reading sooner and faster. Most importantly, it will help
children develop a love of reading. My school saw results after only the 2nd
week of implementation. Her program also has age appropriate lesson plans for
art, math, science, sensory and music activities.
We are proud to have Tara has part of our international curriculum team. Not
only is her product outstanding, but she is professional, honest, easy to work
with and passionate about curriculum. She has never missed a meeting or
deadline and is accessible, which can be difficult due to the time difference
from China to USA.
I would recommend Tara and IBBW for any school and any country without
reservation. IBBW has made a huge impact on our Chinese learners, and it is
exciting seeing their faces light up when they see books now! I look forward to
many more years of working with Tara and would be happy to discuss Tara's
strengths with anyone interested.
