1. Meghan Trainor – All about that bass.
This is an extreme close up of Meghan Trainor, this shot allows the audience to see her full face and
exposes what may be classed as facial “imperfections” to the modelling world. The flowered
headband that she is wearing on her head may symbolize her personally which is fun and quirky.
Due to the different shades of pastels colours that are created by the usage of a green screen is used
throughout the music video. Key lighting is also used in this frame which helps to emphasise her face
as a focal point to the audience.
A wide shot is used in order for the audience to see the mise en scene of the video. This shot shows
5 ladies that are all dressed in pastel colours, this frame could represent that all the ladies are
confident within their bodies. My reason for this statement is because the song is about not listening
to the Medias perception of beautiful or pretty. Also that everyone is beautiful no matter what
other people may think. Key lighting is used on all of the 5 characters to emphasise the characters
and backlighting is also used to draw attention to them.
This is a wide shot that shows 3 ladies that are dressed like children and they appear to the mucking
about. The location that the scene is shot in emphasises the child theme due to their being a pink
bed ad Chester draw and their being a pink dolls house on the floor. There is also key lighting
focused on the bed and background lighting emphasising the far left corner.

2. This is a mid-shot of Meghan Trainor that has balloons in the background. The balloons in the
background are effective because they go with the videos theme and colour scheme. The colour pink
that is in the main characters hair represents harmony, inner peace and affection. This is a
representation of how the character feels. Key lighting is used to point of the characters face.
This is a high angle shot that is effective because it allows the audience to see the characters full
body because she is lying down.
