This document provides guidance on conducting research using the ONESEARCH database which contains SocIndex, Sociological Abstracts, Psycinfo and ERIC. It recommends thinking of terms and variables that characterize your thesis topic and what other disciplines would research your topic. Examples are provided of keyword searches on the topic of "Impact of immigration status on student activism". Tips are also given on common citation errors to fix and using keyboard shortcuts to create hanging indents in citations.

1. Part of the citation is in ALL CAPS
2. Every Word Of The Article Title Is Capitalized
3. The journal title is not italicized
