Shot types presentation
1.
2. EXTREME CLOSE-UP
We will use an
extreme close -up in
our short film to
show the emotion of
the boy suffering
with bipolar. This will
allow the audience to
empathise with the
boy
suffering, creating a
connection between
the audience and the
boy.
3. ESTABLISHING SHOT/
EXTREME LONG-SHOT
We will use an
establishing shot/
extreme long shot in
our short film in
order for the
audience to establish
the setting of the
film.
4. EYE-LEVEL CLOSE-UP
We will use an eye
level close up shot in
our short film as this
is a common
technique used in
documentaries/docu
dramas as it makes
the audience think
that they are on the
same level, showing
realism.
5. LONG-SHOT
This is a long -shot
which we may use in
our short film. A
long-shot usually
shows a person and
the things/settings
surrounding them.
6. MEDIUM LONG-SHOT / TWO
SHOT
This is a medium
long shot / two-shot
which shows the
audience the feet
and above. This is
also a two-shot
which we could use
in our short film
when the bipolar
sufferer is talking to
someone.
7. MID-SHOT
This is a mid shot
which usually shows
the audience the
waist upwards. We
may use this type of
shot at one point in
our short film to
show the protagonist
of the film.
