1. Last year, during remote learning, we received a number of requests for help with our technology: iPads,
Microsoft Teams, OneNote etc. We soon found these problems generally fell into three categories.
The following fixes solve 90% of the problems we were asked about. Please try them before contacting us for
one-to-one support. It could be much quicker for you.
2. “My OneNote’s not updating”
Problem:
You need to allow the content in OneNote
to synchronise with your device.
Solution:
Drag all three columns one at a time,
shown by the blue arrows, down until the
‘syncing’ icon (the moving circles shown
inside the red shape) can be seen in each.
Notes:
This may take longer than just a few
seconds, especially if there is lots of new
content. Be patient. It may be an idea to
sync your device every night.
3. “My <insert app name here> won’t
open!”
Problem:
You may not have the latest version of this
app on your iPad.
Solution:
Open the ‘PKC App Store’ and ensure all
apps are updated.
Notes:
Regular updates will ensure everything
works as smoothly as possible. These
updates usually fix these types of
problems.
4. “The page isn’t in my OneNote!”
Problem:
You have most likely moved the page from
where it was assigned to a new location.
Solution:
When a teacher sets you a task, do not
move it from the place it was sent to as
you will lose the direct link to the
assignment.
Notes:
If you move pages elsewhere, it is unlikely
they will be marked as your teacher will
not be aware of their new location.
