2. Introduction/Background:
This project Creek Marina Residences is sits on the waterfront of the Arabian Sea, offering
discerning residents and investors an array of residential, lifestyle, and golfing facilities in one
breathtaking location. This cutting-edge development is constructed to the highest standards that
ensure an excellent quality of life and investment value.
Vision:
“We want to make curtain wall more efficient thermal break window,
increases view of natural landscape and create uniqueness of project”
Objectives:
With that being said, the initial objective of the implementation is to have the Analysis of what is
required by Creek Marina Residences. This document provides functionality and system needs to
be implemented at Creek Marina Residences.
The key document-specific objectives are as follows:
● To understand and document business objectives and business processes that are currently
being followed.
● To document complete set of requirements from the perspective of the application so as to
cover grounds for all the assumptions with respect to the functional requirements.
● To present a document that is independent of technology and which covers how the
business user operates rather than how the application(s) operates.
● Based on these objectives the requirements that will be mentioned in this document will
have the following characteristics:
● Requirements will describe the capabilities the application must provide in business terms
but not how the application will provide such capabilities
Overview
The project has started with the Analysis Phase and the Requirement Gathering Process with the
aim to document all business processes and requirements of the end user specifically with respect
to the installation of curtain wall.
3. Curtain wall intends to cover the following requirement for Creek Marina. These are grouped
together as modules and are elaborated upon below:
● Project Management: Management of Semester Based projects
● Financial Accounting: General Ledger, Fixed Asset, Payables, Receivables, Cash and
Bank Management, Budgeting.
● Supply Chain Management: Procurement & Sourcing.
Assumptions and Constraints:
A baseline for any project is critical for establishing the foundation on which the project has to be
built. This requirement document performs the function of establishing a baseline for the
installation of curtain wall. Covering complete business requirements is therefore not only
extremely important but also compulsory. The following assumptions and constraints will limit
the complete and accurate collection of all business requirements, and keep the scope of the
document indistinct as well. In addition, the project will be impacted as well in terms of the
artefacts, progress on timelines, and the final design of the solution.
Strength in executive sponsorship and establishment of project champions: Other than the project
consultants, a change management project of the scope of an installation of curtain wall requires a
strong sponsorship and project champions such as the ones in U&I, to steer the project towards a
successful closure.
Sound departmental cooperation and communication: A new project requires that there is a buy-
in from the key users who will be impacted by this change project. Based on that, sound
communication and cooperation is a result if this buy-in is present throughout the project.
Complete user support and user-provided/approved business cases: With the support of users, any
change management program or project can be successful. With user’s business cases, the
installation will work the way the user functions in his or her business realm.
Understanding of the Artefacts and Timely Acceptances: Artefacts that are created by the project
consulting team must be understood and accepted for the project to move forward. Considering
user requirements, the artefacts will be such that they define the user’s practices which need timely
intervention and acceptance.
4. Understanding of the project scope through the document artefacts: The project’s scope will be
defined through the Functional Requirements Document which when clearly understood and
accepted will indicate the scope of the new curtain wall.
Availability of resources as required through the duration of the project: With timely availability
of resources through the duration of the project, it can be ensured that the project timelines and
durations are being maintained as established in the base-lining exercise of the project plan.
