2 spanmulti-cellbox girderbridge havingavaryingwidthof 57m to 80m approx.Spans
were measured60m& 56m at the centerline of the bridge.Analysismodelwas
developedonMIDASCivil. BD-37/01was referredforthe bridge loading.

It’san 8 span bridge withstraight&curvedsegments.The straightspansare of 30m
length& are simplysupportedprecasttwinbox girders;howeverthe curvedportionisa
4 spancontinuousCIPbox girder witha max 42m span.The carriagewaywidthis7.6m &
the radiusis 64m approx.Analysismodelswere developedonMIDASCivil.WestPakistan
HighwayCode isreferredfor bridge loading&AASHTOLRFDis used forthe design
purpose.
RestrengtheningofThatta Sujawal Bridge through External Prestressing
Thatta Sujawal Bridge isapproximately980mlong.The structural systemcomprisesof
articulatedI-girderssupportedongirdersthatare cantileveredoutfromthe pier.Due to
cracks formation& excessive saggingof the bridge itwasdecidedtorestrengthenit
throughexternal prestressing.A complete 3Dmodel wasdevelopedonMIDASforthe

walls,while the foundationdesignisdone onSAFE12.UBC-97 & ACI-318-08 are followed
for the loading&designpurpose.

The proposed project‘UBL regional headoffice islocatedatGulberg,Lahore. The
proposedbuildingsconsistsof two(02) Basements+lowerground+ groundfloor+ 6
typical floor+ Roof + UpperRoof. The slabsystemisflatslabwithperipherybeams. A 3D
model is developedonETABS& all the necessaryloadsare appliedinit. Slab&
foundationdesignisdone onSAFE12.UBC-97 & ACI-318-08 are followedforthe loading
& designpurpose.

The Arkadiansisstatedas Pakistan’stallestresidential project. Amongst13residential
towers,Tower-Mis24 storeyhigh.Buildingframe system isadoptedwithshearwalls&
columns.Slabsystemis flatplate.Pile foundationisusedtosupportthe loadof the
tower.Analysis model is developedonETABS.The slab& foundationdesignisdone on
SAFE12.

Tower-A is34 storeyhigh. Buildingframe system isadoptedwithshearwalls&columns.

2007.

A 483.55m longand 20.10m wide flyoverwith9.3mwide dual carriagewaycrossingthe
railwaytrack andconnectsZarghoonRoad withSariabRoad inQuetta.The flyoveris
curvedinplan & contains2 ramp segments. Posttensioned simplysupported I-girders
were usedforsupportingthe bridge deck.The analysismodels weredevelopedon
SAP2000 & the code followedwasAASHTOLRFD2007.
