How Government Policies, Acts, Schemes & Programs Impact Health
1. POLICY:
Policy is a law, regulation, procedure, administrative action, incentive, or
voluntary practice of governments and other institutions. Policy decisions are
frequently reflected in resource allocations. Health can be influenced by
policies in many different sectors. For example, transportation policies can
encourage physical activity (pedestrian- and bicycle-friendly community
design); policies in schools can improve nutritional content of school meals.

2. ACT:
An Act is a decree that is passed by the respective
legislature, such as the State Legislative Assembly
or the Parliament of India. A subset of law is an act.
Law ensures that people adhere to the established
norms and regulations. In some cases, an Act is used
to establish regulations and laws in specific fields.
3. MISSION:
Mission includes the problems you aim to solve with
your product or service. The mission explains an
organization’s plan for the present based on what it
wants to achieve.
4. SCHEME:
A scheme is a plan or arrangement involving many
people which is made by a government or other
organization.
