Decide on a “Political party” or “Political figure”’ that you
Would you like to Study. Analyze their Social Media
Campaigns and Posts run by them in last 6 months.
Social Media has rapidly grown In Importance as a forum for political
activism in its different forms. Social Media platforms, such as
Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube provide new ways to stimulate
citizen engagement in political life, where elections and electoral
campaign have a central role.
Personal Communication via social media brings Politicians and
Parties closer to their Potential voters. It allows Politicians to
communicate faster and reach citizens in a more
Targeted manner and vice versa, without the intermediate role of
mass media. Reactions,
Feedback, conversions and debates are generated online as well as
support and participation for offline Events. Messages posted to
personal networks are multiplied when
Shared, which allow new audiences to be reached.
There are some Points to analyse their Social Media Campaign For
Political Party:
1. Understand Your Target Audience.
2. Know Your Competition.
3. Build your Digital Marketing team.
4. Create Social Media Pages and Channels.
5. Claim Your Digital brands.
6. Build a Complete web site.
7. Do Professional Blogging.
8. Do Search Engine Optimization.
9. Join relevant Social Media Group.
10 Connect with Bloggers and digital influences.
For Example, a “Political Party “like “Samajwadi Party”
Samajwadi party is actively present on Facebook, Twitter and
YouTube. Samajwadi
Party has taken to Social Media as much as it has taken to Indian
Politics. Samajwadi Party, a powerful regional group in Uttar
Pradesh, moves through the city, led by a local candidate garlanded
with marigolds at its head. Ankit Mishra, who describes himself as a
young professional, marches along with the crowd. But he knows his
main impact won’t be felt here. In this pivotal election, his
contribution to the political battle – along with that of thousands of
other tech-savvy Indians – will be online, through Twitter and
Facebook, and on mobile phones, through SMS texts and messaging
applications such as WhatsApp.
Samajwadi Party has emerged as one of the most effective and
influential political parties. They are following the same strategy on
Twitter as well as on Facebook.
The main objective of Samajwadi on Social Media:
Plug in their honest opinions and reach the masses.
Spread awareness about party movements.
Display a common voice, in line with offline objective.
Connect with the youth.
