Short story is a piece of prose fiction that can be read in one sitting. Emerging from earlier oral storytelling traditions in the 17th century, the short story has grown to encompass a body of work so diverse as to defy easy characterization. Short stories have no set length.

short story with such precision that the reader is
caught up in the action of the story. This is a mark
of a good story and our goal as a writer.

This presentation is in preparation of writing a short story for their portfolio. This presentation was designed for a resource Language Arts class; students having learning and behavior disorders.
