3.  Adaptive Cruise Control(ACC) is an automotive
feature that allows a vehicle cruise control system to
adapt the vehicle’s speed to the traffic environment.
 This system enables the driver to set a constant speed
for the vehicle to maintain.
 A cruise control system has become a standard system
in most modern vehicles.
 Introduced in 1970’s in USA. This system is now
available in luxary cars like Mercedes S-
class,JaguarXJ,Volvo trucks etc..

6.  Switch on ACC
 Set the speed
 Sensors detect the vehicle speed
 Decelerate to ahead vehicle speed
 Keeps the safe distance
 Collision avoidance system
 When the danger of a collision is detected,it
provides a red warning light that flashes on
the windshield

8.  It is very useful for long driving
 Can avoid unconsciously violating speed
limits
 Reduction in accident rate
 Reduction in driver fatigue
 Increase fuel efficiency
