  • Drives Traffic – but how?
Traffic 6m before and after twitter to www.barefootgilles.com
  • Lets take a look at the bones of twitter, and begin by setting up an account.
  • So whats the purpose of listening?
    To act.
Good listeners find what interests them – and act on it.

Eg BT Care – a customer service use of listening.

BT Care search for mentions of BT on twitter and ask if they can help.
Try mentioning BT and see if they tweet you!

But they listen for a purpose. And so must you, whatever your purpose is.

    Handle
    Name
    Location (searchable)
Web link (dedicated twitter landing page)
Bio (160 characters – or more but many platforms will only see first 160)

The only bit which transfers to clients and mobile devices
