This document analyzes viewership changes for English news channels in India over a 10 week period before and after November 8, 2016 across different regions and demographics. Some key findings include:
- Viewership of all English news channels decreased 1% overall but Times Now and NDTV 24x7 saw larger decreases of 29% and 27% respectively.
- India Today saw the largest increase in viewership of 108% overall and even higher gains of 213% and 230% in Mumbai+Delhi and Mumbai+Delhi+Bangalore.
- CNN-News18 also experienced viewership growth, though smaller at 59% overall and 167%/99% in the two city comparisons.
