We build progressive gage systems for air foil industries. Designers & manufacturers
of precision gages, fixtures, automated electronic gaging, custom inspection systems.
Wax mold die, fixture and gaging, air foil drilling and gaging. I handle all parts from the
CNC dept. Deburring, stamping, tapping to depth, visual inspection, directing them to
grinding as needed, additional machine processes requiring angle mill work, lathe,
weld & fabrication, and flame treating surfaces. Custom repair, rework upating and
modifying old gages and drill fixtures.

I have again began building 1960’s customs and restoring antique Harley Davidsons.
Before my partner passed we had talked of adding building bikes to our business. I
have been doing this for some 40 years as a way of relaxing in the evening. I am also
still doing industrial machining. The business is still in flux and the direction I wish to
take it is unclear. I have kept a machine shop, even as I work for others since 1980.

Specializing in forge tooling, fixtures, fabricating, welding, and prototyping for all areas
of manufacturing. I cad designed forging systems and we manufacter the assembly.
Directed press modifications for these needs. Shop opened in November 2007 due to
plant closure of Aluminum Precision Products in Cleveland, with our purchase the
toolroom machinery from that plant. Co-owned with another tool and die maker from
APP, American Dream had a total of more than 65 years experience in the tool and
die field. As of June 7th
the corporation was closed., My partner quite breathing on the
4th
and died on the 7th

3/01–11/07 closed Aluminum Precision Products, Inc. Cleveland, Ohio

APP in Santa Ana, California, purchased the equipment and intellectual properties of
Clarkwood Industries, to open a Cleveland division. APP has four other plants in two
other states. Products are high-pressure cylinder extrusions, aircraft components, and
automotive. It is a leader in titanium forging with both hydraulic and mechanical
presses. The Cleveland Division featured mechanical presses to forge automotive
pistons and diesel piston bases, airport landing light housings, Harley-Davidson front
fork triple trees, foot shifters, foot brake pedals, Jeep door hinges, drive axle forgings
and more.

Former TRW piston forging plant, where TRW began in the early 1920’s. This was a
complete piston manufacturing operation, beginning with TRW’s own aluminum
formula, VMS-75 (same as 4032), bar made on site from ingot and ending with a
finished piston, packaged for the customer. These were shipped to Federal Mogul,
Mercury Marine, and Ross Racing. Probe Racing, Manley, etc. My job was to build
and repair forge tooling, production and machine repair. My ability to tig weld proved
a positive to facilitate tooling repairs.

As a sub-contractor the first year, redeveloped designs of a purchased bankrupt
company. Set up tool room and helped select and procure machinery. In the machine
building field, this resulted in the most compact, high torque, computer controlled,
hydraulically actuated bender in the USA. Conveyers, punch, and end forming units
followed. A Pines style draw bender of greater speed was the last product introduced
and manufactured for sale. Repaired and rebuilt all shop machinery. My shop was
manufacturing parts during the day with my machinists. Evening I would continue
machine work there.
