To whom it may concern,
I am writing to recommend Rick Rossman for an engineering technician position. I have had the
pleasure to work with Rick twice throughout my career at Ford Motor Company, and have seen him
utilize his talents in different areas throughout many assignments.
I first worked with Rick when he managed Ford Racing’s Charlotte based engineering and parts
distribution facility. Rick worked both aspects of the business at times and supervised an employee on
the warehouse side when demand grew and expansion was necessary. Rick’s can do attitude built the
facility into highly demanded test facility, with many pleased customers among our Ford teams. He
took on all technical aspects from the engineering and testing side, including operation of the test rigs,
CMM measurementof components, and scheduling and maintenance. Rick also worked closely with
the Ford engineers to develop new processes and implement them in a practical way for the race teams.
A few years later, I again worked with Rick when he took a position with Roush Fenway Racing. I was
assigned to help the team for two years and used Rick’s services throughout that period. Again, he
was very customer focused at Roush, never shying away from taking on a project. He started with
operation of the test rigs and continued to expand to internal measurement and QC that they
performed in-house. Rick is a self-starter that likes to take on challenging assignments and learn new
tasks. He aims to please his customers and works well in a team setting.
With his abilities and self-starter attitude, Rick makes a great addition for any department providing
engineering services. I have no doubt he will put in a great effort for you. Please feel free to contact me
at the above address with any further questions.
Sincerely,
David Cimba
