DrillingWORKING ON OFFSHORE RIG (JACK UP WITH CYBERSYSTEM )
My responsibilities as Derrickman involve smooth running of mud
pumps and all mud processing equipment.
Carry out mud sampling, take weights and viscosity checks and add
chemicals as advised by mud engineer.
Maintain all mud pumping and processing areas.
Ensure line ups are correct before pumping drill fluids.
Ensure that the derrick is free from loose items or debris, All tubulars
are securely fastened, Working at height at monkey board level
running and pulling back tubulars
Committed to safety and the safe working practices of the crew.
Committed to preventing damage to the environment and must agree
to work in accordance with H S& E policy and procedures.

2. Ensure full implementation of STOP system and ensures the crew
understands and participates the STOP system. PPE and its correct use
with regards to chemical mixing.
Qualified Forklift Operator and General understanding of well control
equipment.
Keep the Driller informed as to the consistency of the mud and the
general condition of the pumps and mud room.
Operation on various pipes handling equipment while making pipe
connections,tripping,testing,etc.
During periods when the drill string is on bottom drilling,assists in
preparing additional drill pipe,collars,or special tools to be run into the
hole.Also at this time,rig floor equipment is examined and
serviced.Tools,equipment and supplies are obtained and made ready
for the next phase of the operation.
Prior to completing the well, responsible with drilling crew for retrieving
the drill steam and BOP equipment such that the well can be plugged
and abandoned or completed.All equipment is to be returned to its
proper storage location and made ready for us again or replaced if
damaged.
Help derrickman on mud system .
Check pump.
Transfer mud from tank to tank .
Computer Word, excel and power point working.
