Re: Letter of recommendation for Stephen Huang
I am glad that Stephen Huang asked me to write this recommendation for him. He was in my
Crisis Communications class at the University of Illinois in the spring semester of 2015. What I
came to know is that Stephen is the type of young man who always gave 100% effort and focus
in each and every class and for each and every assignment.
As in any class there are some students who “get it” right away and fly from there, others who
are mediocre and some who unfortunately will never “get it.” Stephen was a “get it” person
from the start. The assignments he turned in showed much promise and attention to detail. Most
importantly he continued to steadily improve throughout the semester. He was a very
enthusiastic learner and actively participated in class discussions. Stephen also provided strong
leadership during in-class team projects. I looked forward to seeing him in class. He was
roundly confident, humble and intellectually curious.
I would think by any measure Stephen would be an excellent and reliable employee. He is the
type of person universities desire to attract into their programs and the type a university hopes to
send into the professional world holding a degree from their school. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Lynn Holley
