This document summarizes the relocation of the Sha Tin Sewage Treatment Works project in Hong Kong, which will involve constructing caverns underground and relocating sewage treatment facilities. The $811 million project is led by the Drainage Services Department and AECOM Asia Company Limited, with the main contractor being China State Joint Venture. Extensive use of BIM and other technologies are planned over the 13-year, multi-phase project to facilitate planning, design, construction and safety training while minimizing disruptions to local residents.
