SMARTPHONE DRIVE
*URGENT DONATION CALLOUT*
In 2019 some friends, and I established a charity which aims to help vulnerable
young West Australians stay out of the Justice System. To do this we provide
them with recycled smartphones which they otherwise wouldn't be able to
afford to have and maintain. Smartphones and access to the internet are
critical tools in navigating the modern Justice System and helping young
people break out of the revolving-door-of-justice. It is vital that young people
are able to have contact with their support workers. In light of COVID-19,
demand for our service has increased massively and it is even more important
that we help young people close the digital divide to reduce stress on our
public services at this time. We are desperately seeking any old mobiles that
you may have stashed somewhere in your house. Damage is OK as we can
repair, and we have connections at Telstra who are able to fully destroy all
data from your device. I can pick up your old device up from your house, no
contact required, or you can drop them off at our office in Palmyra!

I understand that during this time many are doing it tough and there are a lot
of callouts to dig deep, any help is appreciated! Any Questions please do not
hesitate to ask me! Thank you in advance! We are a registered charity.

Conversations have always been a starting point for new ideas, new ways of
being and new ways of doing.
In 2019, about 20 people attended the St Paul’s conversations group held over
several weeks. St Paul’s community members who are interested in the idea of
joining a facilitated conversations group commencing in June 2020 are invited
to an information session on zoom after church:
Sunday 31 May 2020 @ 10:45 AM.
If you are interested, in joining the zoom information session,
please email Chris Williams:

CONVERSATIONS FOR A FAITH
COMMUNITY
FACILITATION PROCESS
Greetings, you have now had the facilitation questions for a couple of weeks
and it would appear that we may be emerging from our isolation. With that in
mind, I am hoping to conduct a half day workshop where our journey thus far
with St Paul's can be shared, and how we see ourselves taking the journey into
the future together. You will need to bring the documentation of the questions
with you.
If you would like to attend, please email me and we will see if we can get 16
parishioners. If there are more responses, another workshop will be conducted.
As yet we are unable to use our buildings but I am hopeful that we can meet in
the Hall early in June.
Mapping our future

It has been a busy week in the ACYMC (Anglican Children and Youth Ministries
Commission) office as we have been getting ready to launch our new free
webcast that will take place on the 28th of May at 7:30 pm via Zoom.
We are excited to be partnering with a leading Family Therapist, Lauren
Errington. Lauren will be delivering a practical Webcast that will be aimed at
helping families support their children as we all continue to live with the effects
of Covid-19.
Over the winter months, we will be developing a number of family-focused
online training events that will be aimed at supporting and encouraging
families transition to the new normal of life with social distancing.

Our next Anglican Children's Ministry Network is on Wednesday the 24th of
June at 7:30pm. Alongside catching up and hearing how ministry is going in
the different parts of our Diocese, we will be joined by some intergenerational
experts who will briefly help us think through how we might emerge from
lockdown with new ideas for ministry.
