2. Objective : To identify
Potential Hazards in
Lighting & HVAC
2
3. 3
Minimum Nominal Cross section area of conductor as per Clause
4.9.1 – Lighting Circuits – 1.5 sq mm ,Power circuits- 2.5 sq mm
copper only.
In discharging Lighting circuit the neutral conductor to be equal
to phase conductor.
Connections between conductors and conductor and equipment
provide durable electrical continuity and mechanical strength.
4. 4
Electrical Work Requirement
Good Design for Safe Operation ,
Maintenance.
Planning & Quality Material
Execution by skilled team
Periodical maintenance
5. 5
Water Pipes not to be used for earthing.
All Metal Frames like light fixtures ,Fans, Split
AC Units ( out Door) to be earthed with Proper
size earth wire.
Avoid Wires join and insulation with PVC tapes.
6. 6
Non Electrical cables not to run along with Electrical.
EB & DG Supply points to be identified at initial stage.
Avoid interconnection of neutrals .
Single Phase & Three Phase Loads to be balanced.
Temporary lighting connections with loose /joint wires
should never be encouraged.
7. 7
Avoid termination without proper lugs & Glands
All inflammable materials not to be kept in the
vicinity of the Electrical Equipment.
Avoid Wires join and insulation with PVC tapes.
The Electrical Panels to be easily accessible.
