• National: completes jobs that benefit all the states.
o United States government
• State: Completes jobs that benefit its citizens
o Pennsylvania government
• Local: Completes jobs that benefit local people, closest
to the people
o Bedford County Commissioners, NBC School Board
• The United States has a federal structure of
government.
o This means all levels of government (national, state, & local)
share power.
