Currently an undergraduate studying Adult Nursing at the University of Leeds working
towards a high 2:1 classification. I am a hardworking and confident individual that enjoys
demonstrating this in a working environment.
Skills and Achievements
Problem-solving
 Able to assess and provide creative and logical solutions to a wide range of
problems in a timely and professional manor.
 Experience in managing situations where resources are inadequate, alongside
dealing with low staffing levels and organising adequate cover in a healthcare
environment.
Decision-making
 Good decision making skills under pressure, acquired by experience in critical
decision making for patient treatment in time sensitive cases.
 Ability to review information from both a factual and empathetic point of view,
putting myself in a perfect position to make difficult or complex decisions.
Time management
 Experience prioritising tasks based on urgency, difficulty and deadline.
 Maintained a job alongside both academia and work placements, managing work
loads of up to 50 hours a week while maintaining high grades.
Leadership
 Specific teaching for leadership and team coordination, alongside real world
experience leading a team of up to 3 people.
 Leader of a student improvised comedy group, both teaching and encouraging the
growth and talent of the team.
Effective Communication
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and experience in dealing with
difficult conversations such as breaking bad news.
 Experience in a nursing environment of quickly building strong professional

 Experience in motivating people to fulfil their potential, alongside assisting in

Comedy – Member of the Leeds university student improvised comedy group. Held roles
include elected Leader and Social Sectary.
Acting – 10 years of structured learning and performance, including main stage
performances at Harrogate Theatre and Stage@Leeds.
Volunteering – V100 award gained throughout school and continued throughout further
education, including work with children and technology education with older adults.
