Career Focus
I believe strongly that education and training coupled with personal responsibility creates healthy,
happy and productive workplaces. I am studying a Bachelor of Occupational Health and Safety
Sciences (Honours), because of the direct real world applications across all job types. This passion
and drive has been my focus for many years and I apply it to everything I am involved in. This has
allowed me to develop an intensive knowledge across a range of areas such as; Law and Legislation;
Risk Management; Chemistry and Toxicology; Research, Evaluation and Analysis; Physiological and
Cognitive Psychology; as well as Anatomy and Physiology and Physical Ergonomics. My focus as I
progress through this field is to provide protection to both the employee and employer by
developing excellent skills to influence future decisions, operational procedures, compliance and
legislation.

2014 - Present Qld Uni – SECaT student Ambassador, collecting student data.
Qld Rover – Member of several committees, running financial operations and
fundraising. Organising, purchasing and serving food and drink stalls.

2. 2012 House Captain – Indooroopilly State high school. – In this role, I organised and
motivated students to join in the 4 main school events over the year. My strategy of
having a large student participation resulted in achieving a trifecta, which had not
been achieved before. This also enabled my house to win overall for the year. I am a
great motivator and communicator. Additionally I organised smaller groups to
provide support with flags, posters and fundraising. This position required me to
liaise with both teachers and students and resolve differences of opinions, formalise
plans and enact them.
2009-2011 St Vincent de Paul –Volunteer – Forest Lake Store
In this role I took deliveries of boxes of stock, opened, sorted and priced, set up
displays and conducted sales (cash and electronic). I was reliable, vibrant and
cheerful staff member whose helpful attitude to both customers and other staff
members was greatly appreciated.
