2. INTRODUCTION
• one of the most important thing that needs to be done by a media text in order for it to be
successful is that it has to appeal and attract our target audience. So therefore our
audience feedback is crucial. Therefore I undertook some qualitative research to collect
some constructive criticism and change our piece.
3. • For our qualitative research, I filmed a fellow classmate, Joe Nash and asked his
questions about our piece. From this feedback we found that our piece needed to have a
clearer narrative, so we had to follow some typical conventions of a zombie movie.
4. CHANGES MADE FROM QUALITATIVE RESEARCH
• From the data we collected about how to
change our piece, the first thing we did was
make sure that the audience could tell what
genre it was, therefore we had close up shots
of our zombie, and added a lot of fake blood
etc. to make him look like a zombie.
Also, we needed to have a variety of different
shot types, to make sure that the audience didn’t
get bored of the same shots, so we had had
shots like this one, to signify the fact that the
character had a weapon
5. • The written quantative feedback was done by ellie borg, who is a member of my group.
The majority of the feedback was positive however, there were some aspects that were
said to need improving, and we knew how to do it and we needed to do it quick. These
were the titles and making the zombie sub-genre clearer, which was another aspect we
had to change from our qualitative research, leaving only the changes we made to the
titles, which was done to a very good standard.
