3. WHAT IS JNU ?
•JNU (Jawaharlal Nehru University) is
an educational institution in Delhi
,set up by our former prime minister
Jawaharlal Nehru. It was established
in 1969 affiliated by NAAC, AIU, UGC,
and till date it has 8309 students
,473 academic staff,1276
administrative staff.
•It was set up on principles of our
former Prime Minister’s Mr.
Jawaharlal Nehru.
4. JNU ISSUE ?
•Students celebrated their cultural evening as the death anniversary of
Afzal Guru who was hanged on 9th Feb. 2013.Posters were distributed
everywhere on social media and Slogans in late evening like “Bharat ki
barbaadi tak jung rahegi jung rahegi” by students heard in campus
.Students want independent states as countries for instance ‘ Kashmir’,
‘Kerala’ and many other as well. Slogans like “Kitney Afzal maarogey
,har ghar se Afzal Niklega” indicates that they follow anti-national
movement. One interesting factor in this movement is that they also
praising Maqbool Bhatt who had ordered for a highjack of an Indian
Airlines in 1971. At the name of independent Kashmir they are
promoting terrorist groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba, Indian Mujahidin and
others.
6. OUTRAGE IN CAMPUS
•Omar Khalid (DSU ,students union leader) says, "it is our freedom
of expression to express our point of view, and we are protesting
for Kashmir pundit". He is trying to mingle up this issue with Rohit
Vemula case, who suicide in Hyderabad University for reservation
reason, which is totally different from present issue. At the basis of
freedom of expression and unknowing fact he is challenging
government and his opinion is many of them had opposed for Afzal
Guru’s hanging ,which is false. There are more ringleaders who are
provocating students to involve in this anti-national movement
.Many politicians like Arvind Kejriwal (CM,Delhi),Rahul Gandhi
(Congress Leader) backs student by titling them as
“innocent”,Nitish Kumar hails Afzal Guru as martyr. Students
outrage shows the philosophy of ultra-leftist ,who doesn’t believe
in democracy.

8. ACTION TAKEN UP BY LAW AND ORDER
•After hearing ANTI-NATIONAL SLOGANS from students ,their union
leader Kanhaiya Kumar(JNUSU president) was arrested by Delhi Police
under section 124-A(sedition charge) and 120(criminal conspiracy).
•Students and teachers protested his arrest outside Supreme court,
where they themselves were manhandled by lawyers .Many
journalists were injured during reporting ,One of them said, police
threatened them by saying, "bone bhi todengey ,aur phone bhi
todengey”. NBA(News Broadcasters Association) filed case against
Delhi Police in Patiala house court.
•On this massacre Delhi Police Commissioner B.S Bassi statement is,
"injuries are minor to all”.
15. PRESENT STATUS OF CASE
•JNUSU president Kanhaiya Kumar was remand for 2 days and his next
hearing is on 17/2/2016 where it would decide whether he was involved
during anti national movement or not?.
•B.S.Bassi talking with media persons saying, “We have sufficient proof
against Kanhaiya Kumar ,and kindly believe police and administration
.Some news can be ignored as well since media is getting confused
between truth and false “.
•His important statement was, “There were outsiders too involved in this
anti national movement, who does not belong to JNU.We are searching
them in 3 states (U.P, Maharashtra, Jammu and Kashmir).
• Omar Khalid and other ringleaders are not in frame, police had decided to
find them as well, because it has been observed ,Omar Khalid was a person
who actively participated in movement shouting anti-national slogans.
16.
17. •Home Ministry source says through PTI “It is possible that Kanhaiya
Kumar may not be a culprit because he protested against P.M.Modi
and RSS, not against nation, it can be observed in video”.
•Allahabad High Court filed case against Rahul Gandhi for backing
students who participated in anti-national movement.
•P.M Modi is ready for an open debate in parliament before budget
session and he is not in favour to anyone whether it could be his own
party or other.
18. •Students are tensed with happenings in campus, hostels are deserted.
•Some students whoever are there ,they are following their daily
activities, but are concerned about their studies and academic year.
•We could see its result on other universities as well,Jadhavpur
University in Bengal also favoured anti-national movement. Students
marched with slogans like, "Jab tum na dogey azaadi, toh cheen ke
lenge azaadi ;Afzal boley azaadi ,Gilani boley azaadi”.
•Yesterday 3 ABVP office bearers of JNU resign due to massacre at
Patiala House court. Teachers also join JNU protest against sedition
charge on Kanhaiya Kumar.
