Jawaharlal Nehru University or JNU is infamous as the Mecca of Marxism in India
Set up by Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in 1969 using taxpayer money as a payback for the
Communists who supported her Government
Basic nature: a Communist indoctrination centre than an academic institution
Has done more to damage Indian public discourse than any other institution
Notable alumni include Prakash Karat, Baburam Bhattarai, Sitaram Yechury, Bipan Chandra,
Sarvepalli Gopal, and Romila Thapar
Campus is characterized by extreme Communist brainwashing on campus, advocacy for
separatist causes, support for violence against the state, hatred against Hindus, and so on.
