I am a multifunctional Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental with
20 years’ experience in auditing Health and Safety (ISO 18000), Quality
(ISO 9000),Environmental (ISO 14000) processes as well as industry
specific accreditations GAMP 4 (Good Automated Manufacturing
Practice) in the Pharmaceutical industry and Link-Up in the Rail
Industry. To aid me in this I have obtained a NVQ Level 5 in
Occupational Health and Safety and a Lead Assessor Accreditation from
BSI.

the electrical distribution network and then produce reports, submitting them
to senior management.

development budget of £500,000.
Project-managedthe planning and building of 5 Pharmaceutical Laboratories,
allowing continued expansion of the business.
Implementeda Computer based Purchase Order system using an Oracle
Database with an intranet “front end” to enable the system to become
“paperless” thus increasing efficiency throughout the company.
Implementeda Computer based Preventative Maintenance system using an
Access Database. This enabledthe user to identify problem equipment,
evaluate maintenance suppliers and review contracts.
Improved the efficiency of the department by effective use of budget to invest
in IT, modern laboratory equipment, and building maintenance system.
Successfully changed the image of the Facility department by improving
morale. This was achievedby the training andmotivation of staff, increasing
levels of responsibility, encouraging co-operation between teams, and re-
structuring.

Production / Inventory Management

3. Laboratory Management
Successfully managed a team of 6 Laboratory Technicians.
Developed and controlled the Laboratory budget of £ 100,000.
Reduced re-work from an average of 18% down to 8%, using SPC and other
investigation techniques.
Improved housekeeping and safety performance by initiating regular
inspections and then working parties to carry out the remedial work
Improved equipment and layout of laboratory to increase service level with
reduced budget and staffing levels.
Collaborated with R&D, Quality and Production staff on product quality issues
to initiate improvements within the production system.
Maintainedand implementedcalibration schedules to allow adherence to GLP
quality procedures.
Twenty three years experience of analytical techniques within R&D, Technical
Service andQuality Control Laboratories carrying out testing which included
ICP, AA, HPLC, FTIR, IR Spectroscopy, Flame Photometry, Gravimetric and
titrametric techniques.
