I think in a world where we’re constantly being broadcasted to and bombarded with pointless

I’m a walking stereotype….which amuses me
10. Questions Answered:
How do you feel when you look up into the trees and see the sunlight peeking through?
It is quite a calming thing to see. The light being filtered through the leaves. I think it makes me feel quite small and
insignificant. Those leaves are new each year but the branches they grow on have been alive far longer than me and might be
there long after I’ve gone. You can mark the time through the seasons from the bare cold branches in winter, to the fresh
green leaves in spring. The summer sunshine is almost blocked out by the mass of leaves and then the autumn colour arrives.
This process will keep happening, over and over again.
What do you think of when you step on crunchy leaves?
Crunchy autumn leaves mean beautiful, clear and dry days. Usually they mean a walk in the woods, a mini adventure off in to
nature. They are also a little sad. Autumn leaves means winter is coming and with that, the long, dark nights and the cold wet
days. They are part of a beautiful transition but ultimately they lead to a disappointing end.
Jump into the pile of leaves, or worry about what might be hiding in there?
Worry about what is hiding in there.
What do you love about the changing seasons, or about autumn in particular?
The light in autumn can be amazing. Particularly in the morning. The summer haze disappears with the colder nights and on a
good morning the light is warm and crisp and clear. You can get mist in places which is beautiful. Nature seems to get busy
again. Birds prepare to migrate. Other animals prepare for winter. They seem a bit more purposeful than in summer. I like the
fading flowers and the drying seed heads. Sun comes up late enough to see the sunrise. Autumn brings cold weather and the
houses in the village get their wood burners and coal fires on and you can smell it in the evening air. The cold, damp air keeps
the smoke low over the village. That smell always reminds me of autumn and winter.

What do you love about the changing seasons, or about autumn in particular?
I love how everything begins to relax. People become aware of what they need to do and start working on it,
knowing it's the last push before the end of the year. I also struggle with summer/autumn change in some ways,
as the change in season often leaves me feeling a little low for a few weeks.

All the other written elements of your fanzine are up to you but should be documented here. If you decide
to write a review, a polemic, an article or anything else, it needs to be documented here.
Drafts are good so it is worth writing a first draft then producing a second which not only checks for
spelling and grammar errors but also ensures that your work has a consistent style, quality and structure.
Recording your research, as and when it happens, is also a very strong idea. If you need to look up a fact or
read an article, record that.
