This document discusses boundary value analysis and equivalence partitioning testing techniques. 3. BLACK BOX TESTING
• It is a software testing method in which the
internal structure/design/implementation detail
of the item being tested is not known to the
tester.
• Example : Assume , a tester without knowledge
of the internal structure of a website , test the
web pages by using web browser, providing
inputs and verify the outputs and match with
the expected outcome .

4. WHAT IS BOUNDARY VALUE ANALYSIS?
• Boundary testing is the process of testing
between extreme ends or boundaries
between partitions of the input values.
• So , these extreme ends like start-end ,
upper-lower , maximum-minimum , just
inside just outside values are called
boundary values and the testing is called
“boundary testing” .

select input variable values at their.

• Equivalence partition is an black box
technique which can be applied to all level of
testing like , unit , integration ,system etc. in
this technique , you divide the set of condition
into a partition that can considered be same.
