3. Compare and Order Numbers
Use the link below to access an online dice roller. Click on the settings option to
change it to a 9 sided dice and click for it to take effect in current window.

The first roll of the dice decides the length of your number – remember this one
must not be higher than a 7.
You will then create 5 numbers of this length using the dice and then order them
from lowest to highest.

4. Reason With Number
Use the dice roller again for this task.
Your aim is to create a number as close as possible to the target number using the
numbers you rolled. You must then work out the difference from the target
number. Always roll the dice the same number of times as the number of digits in
the target number. You can choose where you put the numbers you rolled.

8. Writing Task
Look at the setting and the opening sentences on the next page.
Your challenge is to continue the story, taking it in any direction you
wish!
Remember to think carefully about the vocabulary that you use. Also,
try and use a range of different punctuation.

Read the ‘Parable of the Lost Sheep’ and ‘Parable of the Lost Drachma’
on the next slides.
Then:
1. Summarise the key points in the story.
2. How does the parable show that the Kingdom of God is for
everyone?
15. Parable of the Lost Sheep
“Which man among you, having a hundred sheep and losing one of
them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness and go after the
one which is lost until he finds it?”
When he has found the lost sheep, he lays it on his shoulders and is
very happy. When he comes home, he calls together his friends and
neighbours. He says to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my
sheep which was lost’”. (Lk 15:4-6)
16. Parable of the Lost Drachma
Jesus invites those listening to him to consider, “What woman with ten
drachma (silver coins) would not, if she, lost one, light a lamp and
sweep the house and search thoroughly tills he found it? And then,
when she has found it, call together her friends and neighbours,
‘Rejoice with me,’ she would say, ‘I have found the drachma I lost’. In
the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing among the angels of God
over one repentant sinner.
