CSM Bradford manufactures a range of ambient Minibite products, such as Shortbread
biscuits, Brownies, Mini Cookies and Flapjacks, across two sites. Its turnover is £18
million and the Customer base is mainly major multiples. It also deals with the Fair Trade
organisation.
Role: Planning & Logistics Manager

Responsibilities: Main Duties include –
• Managing the daily and weekly production across 2 sites
• Managing a team of 11 in charge of Raw Material purchases and Warehousing

2. Duration: November 1988 – July 2008
Company: Peter Hunt’s Bakery Foods, Lyndale Foods
With almost 100 years experience, Peter Hunt’s produced savoury products, including
pies, pasties and sausage rolls for a variety of customers. This included major multiples
(Asda and Morrisons), Food Service (IAWS and Brakes Bros), as well as supplying over
200 shops within the Lyndale Group (Sayers and Hampsons). With a turnover of over
£28 million, it was one of the largest suppliers in the UK and produced a minimum of 2
million units per week, employing 330 staff.
Role: Demand, Forecast & Planning Manager 2005 – 2008
Reporting direct to Managing Director
Responsibilities: Main duties included -
• Keeping stock levels within set valuation - £1.3M
• Ensuring customer service levels were achieved – minimum 98%
• Gathering sales forecasts from Internal and External customers
• Managing and training a team which consisted of a Planner, Sales Order Processor &
Raw Materials Controller
• Communicating to all departments future production plans, allowing other departments to
progress launch and promotional targets
• Monitoring daily production v plan, updating this plan to ensure maximum customer
service levels maintained
• Analysing sales data to report sales forecasts and trends
• Liaising with and supporting the finance department.

• Sourcing and implementing FuturMaster – a Forecast, Planning, Scheduling and MRP

Role: Assistant Supply Chain Manager 2004 – 2005
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager. Following a restructure of the department and
the employment of an external candidate I became an Assistant Supply Chain Manager.
My initial role was to train and support the new Manager in the workings of Peter Hunt’s
and ensure that the newly formed team was performing to the targets set.

Reporting to the Finance Director. A group I.T. system was being installed and
implemented and Peter Hunt’s required someone to help with training, installation, report
writing etc.
