 Oil prices fell for a third day on Tuesday, hit by concerns that a po-
litical rift between Qatar and several Arab states would undermine
an OPEC-led push to tighten the market.Persistent gains in U.S.
production also dragged on benchmark crude prices, traders
said.Brent crude (LCOc1) was trading at $49.10 per barrel at 0244
GMT, down 37 cents, or 0.8 percent from their last close. That is
down almost 9 percent from the open on futures trading on May
25, when an OPEC-led policy to cut oil output was extended into
the first quarter of 2018.U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude
(CLc1) had dropped 36 cents, or 0.8 percent, to $47.04 per barrel.
That is down about 8 percent from the May 25 open.
 U.S. natural gas futures slid to the lowest level since mid-March on
Monday, after the latest U.S. weather model called for mild tem-
peratures over the next two weeks, which should reduce heating
demand during that time.U.S. natural gas for July delivery fell to a
session low of $2.935 per million British thermal units, a level not
seen since March 20. It was last at $2.999 by 10:10AM ET
(1410GMT), little changed on the day.Prices of the fuel dropped
about 7% last week, the biggest weekly loss since the end of Janu-
ary.Natural gas prices have closely tracked weather forecasts in re-
cent weeks, as traders try to gauge the impact of shifting outlooks
on spring heating demand.

 U.S. President Donald Trump's proposed spending cuts for Central
America are "not a good sign" for efforts to reduce immigration from
the poor, violent region, the head of the Inter-American Develop-
ment Bank (IADB) told Reuters on Monday.Trump's austere 2018
budget proposal, which is unlikely to get legislative approval, envis-
ages slashing U.S. aid to Guatemala by almost 40 percent from 2016.
Aid for Honduras and El Salvador would fall nearly a third, according
to last month's proposal.The vast majority of Central American mi-
grants bound for the United States hail from those three coun-
tries.IADB President Luis Alberto Moreno said in an interview that
to make a real change in Central America, the United States needed
to maintain regional spending of around $600 million for seven years
before contemplating lowering its outlay.
 British Prime Minister Theresa May plans to set up a network of nine
trade commissioners around the world to boost trade after Brexit, her
governing Conservative Party said on Monday.May's Conservatives
are widely expected to win a parliamentary election on Thursday,
although their opinion poll lead over the main opposition Labour
Party has narrowed markedly since she called the election in
April.The party said the trade commissioners would promote exports,
seek inward investment and drive trade policy overseas."They will be
based overseas in nine different regions, determined by markets
rather than national borders, to ensure UK trade policy is guided by
local experience and expertise," the party said in a statement, without
specifying what the nine regions would be.May, who plans to take
Britain out of the European Union's tariff-free single market, has said
Brexit will allow Britain to seek bilateral trade deals with "old friends
and new allies" and has created a new government department solely
focused on trade.
