SPECIAL NEWS
 The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported
Thursday morning that USnatural gas stocks decreased by
198 billion cubic feet for the week ending March 6.
TheEIA reported that US working stocks of natural gas to-
taled 1.51 trillion cubic feet, about225 billion cubic feet be-
low the five-year average of 1.74 trillion cubic feet and
483billion cubic feet above last year’s total for the same pe-
riod. Working gas instorage totaled 1.03 trillion cubic feet
for the same period a year ago. The five-yearaverage for the
week is 116 billion cubic feet, and last year’s draw totaled
189billion cubic feet. Demand for heating was about aver-
age last week. Natrual gas stockpilesare up about 47% com-
pared to their levels of a year ago and about 13% below the
five-yearaverage.
 Poseidon Nickel planned to close three nickel mines in
Western Australia for maintenance and repair works.
Meanwhile, the company expects to complete its purchase
of Black Swan later this year.The company said that most
analysts forecast nickel will move to deficit in the end of
2015 and will continue in a shortage between 2016 and
2017. The company believed that nickel prices will rise be-
fore the end of the year.
COMMODITY BUZZ
 The Dollar index has paved way for volatility in Copper
prices. The prices of domestic Copper swung between
gains and losses and were last checked with gains of
0.32%. The dollar rose broadly against a basket of other
major currencies on Friday, as investors awaited the re-
lease of fresh U.S. economic reports later in the day after
retail sales on Thursday disappointed.At the same time the
Labor Department reported that the number people filing
new claims for unemployment benefits fell by 36000 to
289000 last week, indicating that the recovery in the labor
market is continuing to strengthen. The US Dollar index,
which measures the greenback's strength against a trade-
weighted basket of six major currencies, rose 0.29% to
99.41.
 Gold stayed up on Friday on bargain buying but surging
dollar pushed the commodity off the session high. Global
investors are watching for clues from a US Federal Re-
serve meeting next week about the possible timing of an
interest rate hike. The Fed was expected to raise interest
rates this year but expectations of the timing have been
brought forward after strong employment figures for the
last month has boosted hopes that the US economic recov-
ery is speeding up.
