To Whom lt May Concern:
It is my pleasure to write a letter of recommendation for Sherry Houk. Ms. Houk was
hired by Embassy Management in December 2007 as a Project Manager in order to
assist with Company growth and expansion into a new state. Prior to hiring Ms. Houk,
we had never had experience with a Project Manager. We found a Project Manager, and
Ms. Houk in particular, to be an invaluable asset to our expansion.
Ms. Houk quickly learned the complexities and regulations of our industry and mapped
out the steps and timelines required for us to meet our goals. She was instrumental in
developing an extensive Program Design, Operational Policy and Procedures, and
systems to develop Supported Living services and Licensed Homes in California and
Licensed Staffed Residential homes in Washington. She found and developed
relationships with contractors and services and monitored their work. Ms. Houk also
developed and implemented Quality Assurance tools and guidelines to ensure we
maintained high standards of operations.
Ms. Houk took the lead in developing and improving on a number of technological
advances for our company including usable soft copies of forms and manuals, the
company website, and the implementation of automated timekeeping system.
Additionally, MS. Houk has been willing to do whatever the company has needed of her.
She has been flexible and willing with her time and talents. She became a certified
instructor for Non-Violent Crisis lntervention, completed much of the physical work
involved with starting up homes, and performed quality assurance checks.
At this point, our company has met the goals for expansion which required the skills of a
Project Manager. We are supporting Ms. Houk in finding a match for the next company
where her many skills and talents can contribute to their growth and development.
Sincerely,
ft,n'd,a!
