4. COMPONENTS OF ATTITUDE
There are three major components of attitude.
Cognitive: This represents our thoughts, beliefs and ideas about something. such as
all teenagers are lazy,' or 'all babies are cute.'
Affective: This component deals with feelings or emotions that are brought to the
surface about something, such as ‘someone might have the attitude that they hate
teenagers because they are lazy’ or that ‘they love all babies because they are cute.’
Conative: This can also be called the behavioral component and centers on
individuals acting a certain way towards something, such as 'we better keep those
lazy teenagers out of the library,' or 'I cannot wait to kiss that baby

Academic & Placement Scenario,
The 5 items using a 5 point Likert-type scale, where strongly disagree=1, disagree=2, Neutral=3, agree=4
and strongly agree=5.)

6. FISHBEIN MULTI ATTRIBUTE MODEL
Model proposes that attitude toward an object is based on the summed set of
beliefs about the object’s attributes weighted by the evaluation of these attributes
Attributes can be any product or brand association

7. MODEL USED
where,
A = Attitude towards a brand
Bi = Belief that the brand possesses attribute i
Ei = Evaluation or desirability of attribute i
I = attribute 1, 2, … m

9. DATA ANALYSIS
We use 5 point scale for attitude measurement and number are given as follows
Strongly disagree = -2
Disagree =-1
Neutral =0
Agree = 1
Strongly Agree = 2
So using the fish bein model we analyze the given data obtained from the
respondents

20. RESULTS
By Addition of the all point of attribute we can find the student attitude towards the
IIPM
i.e 10.82 + 14.54 + 15.93 + 13.03 + 15.22 = 69.54
So the attitude towards IIPM is 69.54

21. DISCUSSIONS
Based on the evaluation of the interests of (Ei) shows that all the attributes
considered by consumers are all positive with a value above 10 out of a total score
of 25 for each attribute
Students basically concentrated on the academics & Placements more than any
other attribute which have received a scoring of 15.93 & 14.54.
While the rest of the attributes and specifically the Infrastructure & Extra-Curricular
Activities have received the lowest scoring of 10.82 & 13.03.
While pursuing a professional course like PGDM basically Students concentrate on
the educational part of the course rather than the recreational part

22. CONCLUSION
Students joining this institute give more attention towards the Placement &
Academics
The institute is lacking in the front of infrastructure & Extracurricular Activities.
shouldn’t lose out on infrastructure & Extracurricular activities and should try
concentrating in this areas to compete on par with other B Schools of the country
Group 9 - Section 118 August 2018 22
23. SUGGESTIONS
Upgrading the infrastructure and further renovation activities along with building new
blocks to accommodate rising number of students
Must go for organizing National & International Level Seminars & Meets to provide
its students good exposure of the corporate world and to make students industry
ready.
Seek to look after improving the quality of placements & academia more since there
is always room for improvements.
Higher packages along with more international accreditations & certifications
Future research suggested in the sampling and questionnaires used to disseminate
Should use larger object and evenly distributed throughout the IIPM, there is a need
to expand the research area so that it does not remain limited.
