For the last 15 years, I have been the owner and manager of my own retail/foodservice
business. At the height of its success,Ioperated out of two locations, ran a very
successfulcatering business,and employed over 40 staff members. Responsibilities were
as wide and as varied as the challenges. I assisted local municipalities during states of
emergency by providing assistance to local town people. I developed and maintained
strong relationships with representatives of wholesale food and service related companies
and bid for contracts with the Federal Government to feed servicemen and women at the
local National Guard base. And, perhaps the most important aspect of my business,was
the role I played in town as a community gathering place.

I was a regional sales and marketing representative for a national agency that specialized
in computers, networking, printers, tablets,as well as other electronic devices. Most of
my time was spent visiting retailers within my district to ensure that product
merchandising guidelines were being met. I attended trade shows,hosted training
seminars, and provided live, in-store, product demonstrations.
