NIMCJ Students On A Visit To Parliament & Media Houses
Ahmedabad : Students of National Institute of Mass Communication and Journalism (NIMCJ) went to
New Delhi for a two day study tour. The main objective of the same was to view the “democratic
process” of the country happening live at the Mecca of Democracy.
The students were able to get a personal eye contact with the ultimate historic monument of our
country. They got a chance to interact briefly with Shri Rajendra Singh Rana, Loksabha MP, from
Bhavanagar, Gujarat. He shared his experiences of being in Delhi, and representing his constituency in
the Parliament for the past five terms.
The second day was devoted to the ultimate electronic media house, Sahara Group, Noida and The Hive
Communications, Nizzamudin. Mr. Dharmendra Singh, Sr. HR personnel of Sahara Media, helped
students to have a wider look at the whole set up of Sahara Media. The work culture itself was
magnificent having more than 3000 people working at the same place. They started with the Input desk,
leading them next to the studio set ups, then to the graphics and ending with the MCR. There they got
to know about the latest technology used and an opportunity to interact with Mr. Bilal Butt, Bureau
Chief, Jammu & Kashmir.
Mr. Sushil Pandit, CEO, The Hive Communications, an advertising agency, exclusively shared his widely
successful political campaigns and an in-depth creative strategy developed by his agency for an
International school with a global vision. While interacting with the students he mentioned his views on
present Advertising scenario and the scope of ethics in it. Students were accompanied by Faculties Ms
Komal Shah, Shri Shashikant Bhagat & Ms Ila Gohel.
