Established in 1972, the Volvo Truck Production facility located at Wacol, Queensland is the largest assembly plant
for heavy duty trucks in Australia. The factory has an annual maximum capacity of approximately 3000 vehicles. As
at the end of 2006, more than 33,000 Volvo trucks had been built at the Wacol facility.
Duties
 Responsible on a shift by shift basis for the storage/movement of product at lowest cost while meeting
quality standards
 Accurate forklift driving to ensure minimal product damage prior to departure from stores
 Perform quality checks on the equipment and product as determined by quality and ISO manuals
 Maintain performance monitoring charts for different aspects of the warehouse process as required

2.  Perform maintenance type functions over stocktaking periods
 Perform all tasks to a high standard to meet Standard Operating Procedures and Vovo’s Codes of Conduct
 Plan loadouts, quantities and cleaning of equipment and warehouse facility on a daily basis
 Update all Risk Management Plans, Quality Plans and Environmental Plans, ISO and Health & Safety
standards and procedures
 Demonstrate and promote a proactive commitment to health & safety, well being and the environment

requirements while achieving quality and safety standards
 Ensure that team members follow defined assembly procedures and comply with quality requirements
for fitment of components including engine fuel tanks, axles and wheel alignments
 Maintain equipment and ensure that it is within calibration date and all systems are functioning correctly
 Make sure non-conforming material is clearly identified and segregated
 Achieve production targets against weekly and monthly output targets
 Carry out incident, accident investigations and reports
