10. Call EMS
• If the victim does not
respond, activate the
EMS system at once!
• Do it yourself if nobody
else is available.

11. Turn Victim as a Single unit
Kneel facing victim’s hips & shoulders. Straighten his legs
& move the arm closer to you above his head, the other arm
along his body.
12. Turn Victim as a Single unit
Place one hand under his head & neck, and the
other hand on his hip. Roll victim toward you
as a single unit.
16. Interview the Victim
Identify yourself.
Ask:
His name, what happened,
any pain, allergies, medical
conditions, or medications
in use.
17. Check Vital Signs
Feel radial pulse:
Is it regular, weak, very
fast/ very slow?
(Normal: 60-100 / min).
Check Breathing:
Look at the chest. Is
breathing laborious,
noisy, very fast/slow?
(Normal: 10-20 br / m).

18. Check Skin & Temperature
Feel Forehead:
With the back of your
hand. Look at face and
lips. Is skin cold/hot,
wet/dry, pale/bluish?
19. Perform Head to Toe Exam
Visually Inspect Body:
Look for cuts and
deformities.
