2. Overview of Label Printers
● The Any-001/002 uses a single pass LED to fuse dry toner to uncoated media
● It is a perfect solution for short to medium range jobs
○ 1-20,000 labels
● For this range of printing, it is less expensive and easier to use digital printing
then flexo printing
○ For longer runs (20,000+) flexo is cheaper
● It supports a wide range of media including Polypropylene, craft paper, label
stock, and PET.
3. Advantages of Anytron Label Press
1. Anytron printers can print at higher speeds than other printers in that price
range
a. 5m/min at 1200x600 dpi
b. 9m/min at 600x600 dpi
2. Anytron can print variable data, barcodes, and QR codes using Wasatch S/W
and can also run with Windows Drivers
3. Anytron printers can use variable media sizes
a. Most other competitors can only print 8.5’’ (217mm)
b. Anytron users can buy separate fusers for 4” and 6” media as well as the stock 8.5” fuser
4. Anytron printers are GHS certified
4. Anytron Printing Technology
● Anytron Printers use an OKI LED printing system
○ This system has numerous advantages over both laser and inkjet printers
1. Laser systems have a lot of moving parts
a. LED systems don’t have any
b. No moving parts creates a more consistent end product
2. Lasers use multiple mirrors to write images to drum
a. Any shift in the mirrors will cause the image to not write properly
3. LED systems can cool cure
5. Any-001 vs Any-002
● Both of these models use the same base printer made by OKI. However, there
are a few distinct differences between the 2 models
○ Any-001 comes with a rewinder whereas on the Any-002 model the rewinder needs to be
purchased separately.
○ The Any-001 comes with a label counter
■ This option is not available on the Any-002
○ The Any-001 supports double sided printing using a second black mark sensor
■ This option is not available on the Any-002
6. Competition
● The main competitors for the Anytron products are:
○ Primera
○ ISYS
○ ADSI
○ MEMJet printers
● The advantages of the Anytron brand over each of these systems varies
○ There are some disadvantages as well
7. Anytron vs Primera CX
● Primera is the largest competitor for the Anytron Label printers
○ They use a very similar system, however the Primera systems have a few drawbacks when
compared to Anytron
● One of the biggest advantages of Anytron over Primera is the printing
technology
○ Anytron systems use a single pass LED for curing whereas Primera uses a laser system
● Anytron printers use a straight path for printing, the Primera brand does not
○ This can cause issues with precut labels as they may come off of the media prematurely
8. Anytron vs Primera CX
● The Primera systems do not allow a use to use any other media width besides
8.5” (217mm)
○ Anytron systems can use a variety of width substrates (4”,6”, and 8.5”)
● Primera systems do not support variable data
○ For example- name tags, increasing numbers on barcodes and many other applications
● Primera systems max speed is 5m/min
○ Anytron products can print at 9m/min 600x600 dpi
● Anytron products support label counting, Primera systems do not
○ Through software for Any-002
○ Any-001 has hardware counter built in
9. Anytron vs MEMJet systems
● MEMJet printers use waterfall technology for printing labels
● While MEMJet systems are less costly to run and are faster than the
Anytron printers, the Any-001 and Any-002 have a very distinct advantage over
all MEMJet systems
○ MEMJet systems use a water soluble ink to print, leading to less durability of colors
○ The Anytron printers on the other hand use the single pass LED system, which allows them to
print GSH labels
● GHS labels are - Global Harmonization System labels need to be durable
under conditions which expose them to UV rays or water
● MEMJet systems have a fatal drawback in that they cannot
10. Anytron vs MEMJet systems ctd.
● In addition to being able to print GHS labels, Anytron products can print on
almost any substrate which is used for labeling
○ MEMJet systems need specially coated material for their water based inks
○ This material is much more expensive than the normal media that can be used for Anytron
products
● Also, MEMJet systems need to have their print heads replaced which can be
both costly and inefficient
○ Anytron products use a color drum, which is half of the price of the print heads of MEMJet
systems
11. Anytron vs ISYS Edge 850
● The ISYS Edge 850 are very similar to the Anytron products as they use the
same OKI LED printer
● Both printers run at a maximum of 9m/min
● However, the Edge 850 lacks the constant tension control of a straight line
printing system that Anytron products use
● It is also unable to support a smaller fuser for 4” or 6” media width
● One area where the Edge beats Anytron is that they have
developed the use of white toner
12. Anytron vs ADSI systems
● Allen Datagraph Systems Inc. has 4 label presses
○ The AXXIS HS
○ The Centra HS
○ The Cypher
○ The Spectrum
● The AXXIS and the Spectrum use the same OKI print engine that the Anytron
line uses
○ However, they don’t accommodate smaller media sizes with 4” or 6” fusers
13. Markets for Anytron Printers
● The markets for the Anytron Label Printers
is quite vast
○ Any company seeking to produce short to
medium runs of label in-house could
benefit from these systems
● The ability to produce labels in-house
could help to save companies time and
money when compared to buying from
label manufacturers
● A few of the industries that could benefit
from Anytron printers include, but are not
limited to:
○ Cleaning Supplies
○ Candle Makers
○ Wineries
○ Craft Beer Companies
○ Cosmetics
○ Soap producers
○ Chocolates
23. DuoBlade DB-320
● The DB-320 is an economic solution for customers who are looking to
optimize speed while keeping costs low
● It offers high speed label finishing at a more affordable price than the
ANYCUT
● It supports 13” media and can run at speeds up to 5m/min
● There are 4 sensors total which allow for a continuous, consistent cut
● In addition, it supports matrix removal, lamination, and up to 15 slitting knives
24. DuoBlade DB-320 vs Primera FX1200
● The Primera FX1200 is a blade finisher that can cut at speeds of up to
6.1m/min
○ This is slightly faster than the DB model, however it is limited to 8” whereas the DB-320 can
die cut up to 13” media
● The FX1200 can only run up to 7 slitter blades
○ The DB-320 can run up to 15 slitter blades making it the perfect choice for small label slitting
● Both options can run laminating and slitting without diecutting, however the
DB can run this option at up to 20m/min
25. DuoBlade DB-320 vs ADSI products
● ADSI has multiple options for label finishing.
○ However, the DB is faster than any of their options in cutting speed as well as slitting and
laminating faster than any of their options
● The ADSI Talon and Centra HS are their 2 finishers with a 13” web width
○ This matches the DB-320 in web width, however the throughput speeds cannot be matched
■ Talon runs at a maximum 3m/min
■ Centra HS runs at a maximum 4.6m/min
● ADSI also has 2 options for 8.5” label finishing
○ The Axis and Axis XL have a maximum web width of 8.5”
■ The DB-320 is both faster and has a larger web width than either of these 2 options
26. ANYCUT Laser Die Cutter
● The ANYCUT Laser Die Cutter is a more advanced finishing system that is far
superior to blade systems
● It is a true table-top system that can fit in limited workspace
○ While it may be be compact in size, the ANYCUT is able to cut 210mm x 210mm at speeds of
up to 20m/min
● The ANYCUT also is able to perform complex cuts that would be very difficult
for a blade system
○ The Anycut uses an air-cooled Sealed CO2 70W laser beam that allows you to perform cuts of
any shape, design, and size within 210mm x 210mm
27. DB-320 vs ANYCUT
● The ANYCUT is much faster than the DB, or any other similar blade die-cutting
systems on the market
○ It has 2 modes:
■ Stop-and-Go
● Cuts at speeds up to 9m/min
■ On-the-Fly
● Cuts at speeds up to 20m/min
● These speeds and the precision of the cuts set the ANYCUT apart from the
DB-320 and any other Blade Cutter on the market
28. ANYCUT Laser Die Cutter
● The biggest drawback when considering the ANYCUT compared with blade
options is the price
○ The ANYCUT is 2X more expensive than any of the blade systems currently on the market
○ However, it can run at speeds up to 4X faster than any blade system
● However, this drawback can be countered by the speed and the various
functions that the ANYCUT has when comparing it to blade systems
○ The ANYCUT can perform numerous functions that blade systems cannot
■ Perforations
■ Hatching
29. ANYCUT Laser Die Cutter
● Another big advantage that the ANYCUT has over blade die cutters is that the
laser does not get dull or become slowed down/inconsistent from adhesive
sticking to it
○ The ANYCUT can cut continuous rolls up to 300M without slowing down or losing consistency
● The ANYCUT uses two separate systems for a consistent cut
○ It uses a Black mark sensor to tell it when to begin cutting each job
○ It also has a vision camera to adjust the laser for skew caused by printer inconsistencies
● These systems work in unison to keep the ANYCUT working flawlessly for
continuous runs
30. ANYCUT Laser Die Cutter
● The ANYCUT can perform a variety of features other than die cutting:
○ Kiss-cut
○ Full-cut
○ Perforation
○ Marking
○ Hatching
○ Slitting
○ Lamination
31. ANYCUT Laser Die Cutter
● The ANYCUT system is the future for label printing and we have the
opportunity to be at the forefront of this budding industry
○ There are many other blade systems on the market, but the ANYCUT gives us a distinct
advantage over our competitors
● Even if customers don’t want or can’t afford the ANYCUT, the fact that we
have a laser option for finishing will help drive interest towards other products
in the label sector
○ Eventually the customer can upgrade their system from a DB-320 to the ANYCUT
● The amount of functions of the ANYCUT allows us to market outside of just
traditional laser cutters
○ We are working to infiltrate new industries with this machine using
