technologies from the process of
constructing your product?

2. Motion is a software application produced by
Apple Inc. It is used to create and edit motion
graphics, titling for video production and film
production, and 2D and 3D visual effects.
For my final product I had to learn to use
Motions by using a Youtube to educate me on
the different functions of Motions. For example
the library which has different fonts, animations
and behaviours.
I used Motions to create the titling and credits for
my production.

3. Garage band is a software application used to create music.
This was the first time I had used this software , I used loops,
guitar features and animal sounds to create the music for the
opening sequence and the ending titling. I could of used audio
recording or other instruments to add to the music but I wanted
it to sound as eerie as possible, including voices would have
decreased the scariness.

4.  Youtube is an online website where videos
posted by people all over the world. These
videos can vary from make up tutorial or
celebrity music video.
 On youtube you can also add comments to
peoples videos and like or dislike them. This
is a way of finding out what people think of
your video.
 I used Youtube to export my – proof of
production, final product and evaluation
video.

5.  Final cut is a software created my Apple Inc. It is
an editing software, that allows people to cut out
different parts of their production, add
sound, transitions and add in special effects.
 Although I had used Final cut previously I learnt a
lot by editing my final product because it was a
task to reduce the amount of different shot that we
had taken to the ones that we needed. I also used
special effects for the first time and I experimented
using different transitions that I hadn’t used
before.

6.  Digital camera – although I wasn’t the camera man I did have an
opportunity to help operate the camera and decide on some of the
shots that we needed.
 Tripod – this is what we used to balance the digital camera on to
reduce the shakiness of the shots.
 Boom Pole – this is used to hold the microphone so that I (the sound
person) could hold the microphone up high or under the camera, so
that the actors speech could be heard but the microphone was out of
shot.
 Microphone – This is one of the most important pieces of equipment
because it is what is used to pick up the actors speech and it was
essential that the sound and speech was clear and understandable in
our production because it helped to add to the tension in our product.
It was my first time operating the microphone and boom
pole, although I found it slightly difficult to operate it because of my
height and also because it was a bit heavy. But overall I found the
experience ok because I learnt how to use and operate the equipment
and I learnt how essential each equipment is to making our final
production perfect.
