Informative Presentation
 In such of presentation the presenter
explains a very controversial or
complicated topic in simple words so one
can be fully useful of it.
 Such as:
– Lecture of a teacher
– Workshops etc.
Persuasive Presentation
 In such Presentation the presenter tries to
convince the audience to agree to the
presenter’s opinion. OR the presenter tries
to convince the audience do or not to do
something.
 Advertisements in the TV are good
examples of this type of presentation.
Entertaining Presentation
 Such type of presentation not only include
humorous statements but also the
numerous ceremonial, introductory or
simulating cermonies which are so
common in our social or business life.
 Such as in promotional parties, retirement
or anniversaries.
Ways of Delivering Oral Messages
 We have for options for speaking:
– Extemporaneous
– Reading
– Memorization
– Impromptu

 Using 3-5 inch cards
 Mostly preferred by audience and
presenter
 More eye-contact
Reading
 When the contents are crucial and
controversial
 Teleprompter for Newscasters
 Musharaf’s Addresses to Nation

 Old Method, No Longer Effective
 A few sentences of each part of
presentation is acceptable.

 Variation in voice highness and lowness
 One should not be monotone, Pitch should
vary
Rate
 Word per Minutes
 Casual 80 to 250 wpm
 One to Mass speaking 80 to 160 wpm
Volume
 It’s the loudness and softness of voice
 One has to make sure he is well audible
Vocal Quality
 The quality how one produces the words
orally.
 Mouth, tongue, lips, teeth, vocal folds,
hard and soft plates, nose etc affect
 Its been debatable to improve the quality.
 Mostly surgical operations or reharsal can
improve it

 It’s set of standards one has to follow
producing words orally.

 Ask the Lectern in Advance. It Not Only Keeps your
trembling Hands, it also keeps the note.
 Move During the Presentation. It reds you from Tension
and Make your Audience Attentive.
 Rehearse the Presentation as Many Times as you Can.
 Approach the Lectern with Enthusiasm and Confidant.
