Sara Newman designed a new baking sheet to address common problems with standard sheets. The first iteration identified issues with standup edges taking up space, bolt heads catching on oven racks, and difficulty placing interchangeable tops. The second iteration solved these by creating a design with an uninterrupted baking surface that could easily slide in and out of the oven without catching, and with interchangeable, separable sheets. This improved design allowed Sara Newman to successfully make her new baking sheet.
