RSETIs have a crucial role to play in the empowerment of
unemployed rural youth. This is not only an onerous responsibility
but also an opportunity to contribute our mite to the larger national
goal of poverty alleviation, job creation and youth empowerment.
Over a period of time, RSETIs have emerged as vibrant institutions
capable of meeting the aspiration requirements of rural youth by imparting
qualitative training and facilitate in their settlement. There are umpteen number of
success stories of RSETI trained candidates who have realized their ambition in life
largely on account of the timely support, assistance and guidance received from the
RSETIs for their development.
Initiatives such as organizing Blood Donation Camp, Focusing on helping differently
able/transgender/blind persons and organizing RSETI Bazaars etc. by few RSETIs
are praiseworthy and merits replication by others.
Annual Activities Report should capture the details of all the activities conducted
during the reporting period so as to keep the stakeholders informed about the
achievements made. This will also give an opportunity to introspect on the pitfalls
noticed so as to devise ways and means to excel in fulfillment of the organizational
goals. Documenting the efforts made and results obtained will also help in
showcasing the achievements besides serving as a record for posterity.
I am glad that your RSETI is bringing out the Activities Report of the Institute for
the year 2014-15, nicely documenting the efforts made. I am happy to note that
RSETI has conducted 25 programmes benefitting 711 unemployed youth during
the year.
I take this opportunity to commend the efforts of the Director and the entire RSETI
team for their excellent work in bringing out a nicely compiled Annual Activities
Report.
I wish the Director and the Staff of RSETI all the very best in all their future
endeavors.
With best wishes,
