5.
The target audience rejected the title idea’s of Pop
Harmony, Teen Hits and Teen Essence. This is because they are
all quite long, and do not lead straight to the point. This is why
the audience chose GoPoP! Because it stood out from the rest of
the titles.
The audience rejected the title fonts of Bauhaus 93, Bernard
MT, Haettenschweiler, Kristen ITC, Rockwell
Condensed, Palatino, Stencil, this is because these fonts all have too
much going on and do no portray the pop genre and the
simplicity of the genre. Therefore, the audience chose the font
Forte because it flows and clearly shows that the pop genre has
elements of fun and unique.
The audience rejected the colours of
red, maroon, purple, blue, light purple and black. This was
because these colours did not appeal to my target audience as
they were either too dark and bland or too bright. Therefore, the
audience chose the neon pink colour because this is bright
enough for a pop magazine as well as attracting the target
audience as it is quite girly and cool.
6.
The title GoPoP! Should connote the ideology of a
snappy and cool pop magazine.
The font choice should connote the idea that the
magazine will be quite snazzy and very fun, this
will target the right audience as they will be
inclined and interested to see what will be inside.
The neon pink colour suggest that the magazine
will be quite girly and fashionable, it connotes
the idea that artists inside the magazine will be
quite girly (e.g. a girl group like little mix)
7. GoPoP!
My target audience decided to chose the title name GoPoP! This
is because it stands out, and is short and snappy. It leads the
target audience straight to the point.
The target audience decided to chose the font ‘Forte’ this is
because it has a snazzy feel to the font and stands out as well
as entices the audience into the magazine.
The target audience chose a neon, bright pink colour. This is
because is shows clearly that the magazine is a pop magazine
and it stands out beyond other magazines.

Within my magazine my font cover will include an image of a
famous girl group in the centre, it will include the masthead at the
top, and will include the left third with images of other artists. The
magazine’s main cover line will include a hot topic of the band on
the page, its will be large and take up at least a third of the page.
On my Contents page there will be a small masthead, with images
of 2 artists. It will show what is in the magazine including a
section on celebrities, a section on gossip, a section on news and
a section on new artists.
The Double Page Spread will include a variety of images put
together of a band, it will include an article of questions asked by
the writer and answers from the artists in the band. The questions
asked will be:
What do you enjoy about performing?
What interests you about the music industry?
Does fame scare you?
What do you want to do next?
9.
The house style plan for my magazine will be the
use of colours like neon pink for the masthead
on each page. The title will be bold on the front
cover but on the other pages it will be normal but
underlined. The colours used throughout will be
black and orange. These will complement the
neon pink as well as standing out and showing
the genre of the magazine.
The font used for the titles and sub titles will be
forte as this will stand out but the font for the
other text including the articles will be Agency FB.
The images of the band will be using a plain
background as the actual band will be dressed
very colourful.
10.
The images on the front cover:
A large image of a band will be on the magazine,
it will have a plain white background and the
band will be wearing outstanding and colourful
clothing. The image will be based in a slanted
photo frame, to give the magazine some
edginess.
It will also include an image of a new artist who
will be set in a loud and colourful background.
Another image of a different artist will also be
used with again a loud background.
