Inequalities in society.
Gendered language- use gender language
Like he, him,his,man & men when referring to
A person or people.
Gendered stereotypes- boys are more
Adventurous than girls.

It is divided into three “waves”.
First wave Feminism(19th& early 20th century)-
Comprised women’s movement,right to vote etc.
Second wave Feminism(mid 20th century)-
Ideas & actions of women’s liberation.
Third wave Feminism(20th& early 21th
Century- Continuation of second wave feminism.

Marxist Feminism-Women’s
role in society is shaped by the
needs of the economy &
capitalism.
Radical feminists- patriarchy
will only end when women are
freed from the physical & emotional
violence.
