3. INTRODUCTION
■ The main intention of this paper is to find the accident spot at any place
and intimating it to ambulance, police as well as family members through
the GPS & GSM network.
■ This paper also deal with ALCOHOL Detection system that will be
useful to avoid accidents.
■ The project contains GSM,GPS Modem,MQ3Alcohol sensor and
Accelerometer interfaced to the Arduino Uno Microcontroller.
■ Global system for mobile(GSM) technology is used to establish cellular
connection.
■ GPS is used to trace the position of the vehicle.

4. OBJECTIVE:
To reduce Human death ratio.
To Track the Accident location of the vehicle using GPS and sending
the messages to required help stations and to know whether the
accident occurred or not
If the person consume alcohol who is driving then vehicle will be
stopped immediately by giving alarm and sends the information to
nearest police station.
To intimate the condition of the victim who met the accident.

5. PROPOSED SYSTEM
■ The proposed system has to create on
effective alcohol detection in vehicle. It is
internal system to connect on the vehicle
ignition.
■ The “Alcohol Sensor” to check on driver
is drink or not. If the driver is drink the
vehicle is not started couldn’t moved and
send the SMS on police with location of
the person.
■ And, the second part of our work presents
an automotive system using GPS and
GSM-SMS Services.

10. WhyARM7:
An ARM7 Development Board (LPC2148) of NXP is used for
developing and debugging, with a high-speed 32-bit microcontroller.
It contains a Phase-locked Loop and it works with a speed of
60MHz which is 9 times faster than Arduino UNO.
 It works as a complete processor architecture which is a highly
used microcontroller in real-time application.

11. GSM:
 A GSM Modem is a wireless modem that works with a GSM wireless
Network.
 The GSM network is used to provide communication from one place to
other.
 GSM modules can be communicated to ARM-Microcontroller using
normal serial USART protocol.
 Communication is being done using regular GSM modem AT
commands.

12. GPS:
 GPS(Global Positioning System)
 GPS is used to trace the position.
 GPS Receiver gets the location information from satellites.

13. MQ3 SENSOR:
 The alcohol sensor circuit will detect the alcohol depends on human breath and the
signal will send data to ARM7 .
 The result of human breath contains alcohol that has detected from alcohol sensor
circuit will display on the LCD 16x2 displayed.
 It has a high sensitivity and fast response time. Sensor provides an analog output
based on alcohol concentration.
 The sensor needs 5V power supply to operate.
 MQ3 alcohol sensor module can be easily cooperate with microcontrollers boards
etc.

15. OUTPUT DISPLAYON LCD:
Welcome message Initial stage (ALC=0 ,ACC=0)
If alcohol is detected ALC=1 If Accident id detected ACC=1
sends the information to mobiles

16. CONCLUSION:
▪ To Minimize The Deaths And The Severe Condition Due To Accidents The GPS And
GSM Technologies Are Used Where Immediate Action Would Take Place By The
Ambulance/Police Services Which Might Reduce The Severity.
