2. We are going to use this location
for when the international trade
happens between Francesca and
the International trader.
We wanted an urban location
to enhance the rough lifestyle
that the smugglers live.
However, we also needed a
good setting that would
emphasise the dealer’s
occupation. We hoped that the
ships and harbour would
convey the sense that he is an
international dealer.
3. In Lancing we are going to shoot the den scenes and the first scene, which includes
the victim waking up and making a cup of tea. As a group, we discussed whether
we should shoot these scenes in my house or Charlie’s house. Charlie said he had
a room that would suit the scenes, and so we decided to use his. We needed a
room that would be quite dark and urban looking, to display a sense of grittiness.
We thought we should also film the first scene here as well because it would be
convenient for us, as it would mean that we won’t have to change location.
4. This alleyway is where we will film the shot of the gang walking towards
the camera. It is also a good location to film the chasing and threatening
scenes, as it is closed of and very urban due to the graffiti a bricked
buildings that create a looming shadow.
