3. PROBABILITY
• An event for an experiment is the collection of
some outcomes of the experiment.
• The experiment or emprical probability of an
event (E) .
P(E) = Number of trials in E has happened
Total number of trials
• Probability of an event lies between 0 & 1.
4. Real Life Use Of Probability
• The boys of streets wants to play cricket .
• But are not able to understand which team
will take what Bat or Ball.
• So, they decide to toss the coin of Rs. 1
5. The boys choose Head.
Now, they wants to know what is the probability
of getting Head.
6. S = Sample space = maximum number of outcomes.
• When single coin is tossed
S = (head , tales)
• Therefore, P(E) = No. (E)
No. (S)
• P (E) = 1
